Annual Enrolment
Together we create an environment for personal excellence

Welcome to the Rosehill College enrolment process. For all enrolment inquiries, kindly direct your emails to enrolments@rosehillcollege.school.nz.

In-Zone enrolments are advised to complete the process through our online enrolment application.

Out-of-Zone applications must be submitted as hard copies only. Enrolment packs can be collected from Rosehill College’s reception. Please note that any Out-of-Zone online applications will be declined without further notice.

In Zone Enrolments

We strongly encourage you to complete the enrollment application online, ideally on a desktop computer or laptop for the best experience.

By submitting online your application does NOT guarantee automatic acceptance. All submissions will be reviewed, and you will receive confirmation via email/letter once the process is complete.

To get started, download the required forms (which can be filled out electronically using a Microsoft Edge browser or Adobe Acrobat for Drive). Be sure to save the completed forms, as they will be uploaded to the ‘Attachments’ section later in this application.

Important Notes
If you are unable to upload and submit the required forms and supporting documents online, you can bring them to the school office. Our front office staff are available to assist with scanning and entering your documents into our system.

If you would prefer to complete the enrolment process using paper forms, you can collect an enrollment pack from our front office. The office is open from 8 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday.

All students who live within the Rosehill College zone are entitled to enrol at the college. You can check to see if you are in zone for Rosehill College zone, by entering your address into the Education Counts site.

Our vision for our students/ākonga is to provide a learning community that reflects, respects, and nurtures their aspirations, identities, and overall well-being.

To initiate the enrolment process, please ensure that the parent or legal guardian of the child completes the application. Proof of the student’s permanent address, along with that of the parent or legal guardian, must be submitted before we can proceed with processing the enrolment application.

While enrolment processing may take some time, you can preview our Year 9 Course Information prior to receiving the course selection link. Additionally, courses for other year levels can be explored under Learning on our website.

The following forms are COMPULSORY and must be submitted. Please download and fill out each of these forms, ensuring they are completed in full. Note that all forms require a parent or guardian’s signature, while the last two forms also require the student’s signature. It is essential to have these forms signed; any unsigned forms will not be processed. The compulsory forms are as follows:

  1. Student Health Record
  2.  In Zone Enrolment Questionnaire
  3.  Education Outside the Classroom (EOTC) Consent Form
  4.  School-wide Rules

Please ensure all forms are signed and submitted to avoid any delays in the enrollment process.

To facilitate the processing of enrolment applications, we kindly request a digital copy of the entire file for the following documents (preferably in PDF format for document).

Compulsory Documents

  • Birth Certificate or Passport
  • Student’s Visa: for non New Zealand citizen and overseas student.
  • Legal or Guardianship documents: Any legal documents (e.g. Guardianship/ Parenting Order/ Custody Order/ Protection Order) if applicable.
  • Proof of Address: TWO different documents, each with the caregiver’s name, supply address or rating unit where the student lives, and with the most recent date.
    • Tenancy Agreement or Council Rates bill
    • Electricity bill or Water bill

Additional Supporting Documents

  • Latest school report: from previous school
  • Immunisation Certificate: e.g. Measles – available from your Doctor. Please let us know if the student is NOT immunised

Naming documents for upload – All documents should be .pdf or .png or .jpg files and named appropriately. Please use the student’s last name, then first name followed by the name of the document, e.g. a health record form document for student ‘John Smith’ would be: Smith, John Health Record.pdf.

If you are enrolling from within our designated zone, your child’s admission will be confirmed promptly upon completion and verification of the required documents. Please be aware that this process can take some time, depending on the volume of applications. Once enrolment is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email or letter. It is crucial to ensure we have been provided with your correct email address and phone number. This will help avoid delays in communication. Additionally, we remind all families that, according to government legislation, schools are permitted to ask a student to leave immediately if it is found that they do not reside permanently within the Rosehill College zone at the time of enrollment.

Out of Zone Enrolments

Each of the Boards of the schools has determined the optimum number of places likely to be available for out-of-zone students entering each year. Please note that these numbers are estimates only. The actual number of places available will not be known until the pre-enrolment of all in-zone students has been completed.

Order of Priority for Out-of-Zone Applicants
The order of priority in which applicants who live outside a school’s zone are to be offered places at the school is as follows:

  1. First Priority: Applicants accepted for enrolment in a special programme run by the school.
  2. Second Priority: Applicants who are siblings of a current student at the school.
  3. Third Priority: Applicants who are siblings of a former student of the school.
  4. Fourth Priority: Applicants who are children of a former student of the school.
  5. Fifth Priority: Applicants who are children of either an employee of the board of the school or a member of the board of the school.
  6. Sixth Priority: All other applicants.
