Rosehill College Student's Art Selected for Prestigious Top Art Exhibition
Kia ora e te whānau
We are incredibly proud to celebrate the success of one of our talented Year 13 Painting students, Tasha Brown, whose art folio has been selected for the prestigious *Top Art Exhibition 2024*. This national exhibition showcases the highest-achieving NCEA Level 3 portfolios from across Aotearoa, recognising excellence in visual arts.
Tasha's work, titled Journey to Happiness, explores the theme of longing for a better place and the joy of revisiting cherished memories. Using the imagery of a dog, she masterfully conveys emotions of nostalgia and fulfillment. Through the clever use of multiples and scale, her paintings bring to life the idea of reflecting on past experiences and the happiness that comes from reconnecting with them.
Tasha was guided and supported throughout her artistic journey by our dedicated Year 13 Painting teacher, Ms Tanya Wilson. This achievement is a testament to both Tasha’s incredible talent and the dedication of our Visual Arts department.
Tasha’s folio will now be part of a touring exhibition, inspiring future young artists across Aotearoa. We encourage everyone to view and celebrate her stunning work.
Ka mau te wehi, Tasha! He tohu whakahirahira tēnei!
