Food and Fabrics Soft Materials Technician / Assistant
We have an exciting role available in our Food and Fabrics Soft Materials Department. This role is for 25 hours per week, during school term time only (40 weeks per year).
You will provide support to the HOD/HOF Technology and the teachers within the department, while reporting directly to the HOD/HOF Technology. You will compile food and fabrics orders and requests and ensure that all ingredients and equipment are organised for each lesson for the staff. You will be assisting teachers and students with their requests and ensuring that lessons and assessments run smoothly. Part of your role will be to keep the central pantry and technology classrooms well stocked, clean, tidy and well organised.
The successful applicant will have the following skills:
- excellent communication skills
- great organisational skills are a must
- be willing and able to learn new tasks
- have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, able to multi-task and enjoy working with staff and students
- enjoy working as part of a team and be willing to assist colleagues when needed
