Celebrating Diwali at Rosehill College
Rosehill College recently came together to celebrate the vibrant festival of Diwali with students and staff joining in the festivities. Diwali, often referred to as the Festival of Lights, holds great significance in several cultures, symbolising the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. Traditionally observed with colourful decorations, special food, and lighting of lamps (diyas), the festival fosters a sense of unity, positivity, and hope.
Our school embraced the occasion with enthusiasm, as participants wore traditional attire, shared stories about Diwali’s cultural importance, and enjoyed festive activities together. It was a beautiful opportunity to recognise and honour the cultural diversity within our community.
Events like these help promote understanding and inclusion while offering a platform for students and staff to celebrate their heritage and share traditions with one another. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making the day such a memorable occasion!
Through this celebration, Rosehill College continues to foster an environment of inclusiveness and mutual respect, ensuring our school remains a place where everyone feels seen and valued.
Happy Diwali to all!
