Otago University Scholarship applications close this Thursday 15th August.
Otago University have a fantastic set of scholarships, with the one stop shop application system, which makes it really easy for students to apply. If you are applying to attend Otago next year this is a reminder to get your scholarship applications completed on time!
In 2024 over half the school leavers starting at Otago received a scholarship – in 2025, that could be you!
- Scholarships are not only for academic performance. There are a range of scholarships for sporting and cultural achievements, and to help with barriers relating to hardship, equity issues and disabilities
- You only need to apply ONCE to put you in the running to receive any of our scholarships you are eligible for
- A scholarship at Otago means a guaranteed place in one of their Residential Colleges (except New Frontiers)
- Scholarships range from $2,000 to $40,000
- Applications close on 15 August, so get started on your application today and make the move to Otago with a scholarship to help fund your studies
Scholarship application tips:
- Brag humbly – they want to know all about your achievements as well as things you do in your community or school
- Pick your referees wisely, a school teacher, careers adviser or coach are great options
- Keep your statements short and to the point
