Neihana Lowe and Kane Wadsworth, together with Neihana’s cousin, were one team of 20 winners nationally in the Outlook for Someday Film Challenge. The challenge asks young people up to the age of 24 to interpret “sustainability” and what that means for them. There were 156 entries involving over a thousand young people in workshops and filming. Their film, entitled Home, is of a young poet telling us a story about the challenges of life on the Southside. It received the Tearaway Secondary School Performance Award for a film made by young people of secondary school age with strong on-screen performance. Congratulations!
