Kia ora,

I hope that you and your whānau are well in the current circumstances, which I acknowledge are challenging in many ways.

Keeping our staffing at a level to ensure the safety of our ākonga remains our priority and to do this we are again asking ALL students to learn from home this Friday 18 March. Students who are unable to be supervised at home are to come to school where they will be supervised in year level groups to follow the same programme as those who are learning from home. The same instructions will apply as for last week and these are repeated at the end of this email.

Thank you to those who responded to the survey about rostering home that was in last week’s newsletter. Two thirds of the responses were in favour of daily rostering home, rather than the full week we have been doing. The schedule from Monday 21 March will be as follows. Please note that this is a change to what was indicated in the email of 11 March last week.

  • Mondays Year 12 students learn from home; all other year levels attend school.
  • Tuesdays Year 13 students learn from home; all other year levels attend school.
  • Wednesdays Year 11 students learn from home; all other year levels attend school.
  • Thursdays Year 10 students learn from home; all other year levels attend school.
  • Fridays Year 9 students learn from home; all other year levels attend school.

This will continue until we are sure that we can staff all year levels safely.

Thank you for your understanding and support as we respond to the changes in our circumstances.
