As a result of the retirement of a long-term staff member, we seek a dynamic, passionate and enthusiastic teacher of Social Studies to join our Humanities faculty in 2025. A willingness to teach Social Studies at NCEA level is essential.
Applicants should have a current New Zealand teacher registration and a working knowledge of the New Zealand curriculum.
The successful candidate will have:
- A genuine passion for teaching with sound relational practices to tautoko positive relationships within our kura
- Knowledge of the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a commitment to ensure te reo me ōna Tikanga are upheld
- A clear understanding of differentiated teaching approaches that meet the needs of all learners
- Ability to be a team-player who will work collaboratively to raise student achievement
- Administrative skills commensurate with effective tracking and monitoring student achievement and engagement
